MOMS Club of Bethesda has many activities that take place each week of the month. Members are informed of activities through Meetup notifications.
Parks & Playgrounds
Each month we organize a visit to a local park or playground. We rotate the location to expose our members to the many exciting and enjoyable parks in our area.
Playgroups are a great way for both moms and kids to socialize. Playgroups are organized based on the age of your child. The members of each playgroup decide on the weekly schedule, time and location. New playgroups form based on interest and availability.
Trips & Tours
Each month we organize a field trip for moms and kids to an interesting and unique local destination. Examples include:
- Brookside Gardens Butterfly Exhibit
Brookside Gardens Holiday Model Train Exhibit
Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C.
Reston Zoo and National Zoo
Cabin John Locust Grove Center
National D.C. Aquarium
Other MOMS Club activities include:
- Crafty Mamas: Learn a new craft every month
- Knitting Circle
- Moms on the Move: A fitness sub-group
MOMS Club of Bethesda members pride themselves on being leaders in our community. We organize service projects throughout the year, focusing primarily on those causes which benefit children and families in need. Examples of past service projects include donating backpacks and school supplies at the beginning of the school year, and donating candy after Halloween to local hospitals.
Sunshine MOMS (MOMS Offering Moms Support)
Meals can be provided for members in times of need, such as the birth of a new baby, illness, surgery or death in the family. Other members volunteer to make a meal or provide a helping hand to a member requesting extra support and care.
Breakfast for New Members
We regularly host a breakfast, typically held in a member’s home, to welcome our newest members and to introduce them to current members.
We organize special events, such as:
Spring Fling Party
